The 22nd Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties is Held in Russian Far-East

(IESCO) From May 30th to June 1st, the 22nd Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) was held in Vladivostok, Russian. It carried out discussions on situation in Ukraine, the 8th International Conference of Asian Political Parties and the Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance (GPCEA).

Jose De Venecia, former Speaker of the House of Representatives of Republic of the Philippines, Founding Chairman of ICAPP; Sok An, , Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, President of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Chung Eui Yong, Co-Chairman and Secretary-General of ICAPP; Ai Ping, Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC); Musasid Hussein Sayed, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate Defense Committee and Secretary-General of the Centrist Asia Pacific Democrats International; Dr. Jiang Mingjun, Director-General of International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization (IESCO) and Chairman of the ICAPP Climate Change Committee;Hon. Dr. Andrey A. Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Council of Russian Federation (Senate) and Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the United Russia Party, and heads of parties in Bangladesh, Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Turkey, Malaysia and Vietnam attended the conference.

The conference decided the 8th International Conference of Asian Political Parties will be held during September 18th to 21st in Colombo, Sri Lanka with the theme of “Building the Asian Community”. The Second Women’s Wing Conference and the Third Youth Wing Conference of the ICAPP will also be held at the same time.

The Standing Committee discussed for 3 hours on the establishment of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance (GPCEA) and voted for the related matters.

Jiang Mingjun made a speech on behalf of the committee of GPCEA and introduced its registration and recent arrangement. Members of the ICAPP Climate Change Committee spoke highly of the efforts made by IESCO for the establishment of GPCEA and said it would continue to support and participate in the work of GPCEA.

The conference reviewed the outcomes of meetings held by ICAPP since the 21st Standing Committee of ICAPP in November, 2013, including the 1st ICAPP Workshop on Human Trafficking, the 4th Meeting of the Bureau of the ICAPP Women’s Wing, the 1st Bureau Meeting of the ICAPP Youth Wing and the 2nd Meeting of the Steering Committee of the ICAPP Medical Emergency Forum.
GPCEA is a global inter-party organization approved by the 19th Standing Committee of ICAPP, the 31st Plenary Session of the COPPPAL, the Council of African Political Parties (CAPP) and the 2nd Plenary Session of the Centrist Asia Pacific Democrats International. Its objectives are: By regarding each country’s ruling party as the main body and uniting other parties to actively promote the process of the UN Climate Talks and the post-2015 sustainable development. And through improving each country’s ability of green innovation and green governing and safeguarding women’s legitimate rights and interests and youth empowerment to resist natural disasters and climate change risks together and realize the coordinated development of economy, society and environment.
