Gozde Dizdar Is Elected as President of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance Youth Wing

Recently, according to the decision of the Presidum of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance, Gozde Dizdar was elected as President of the Youth Wing of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance.

The Presidium of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance maintained that Gozde Dizdar has made great efforts in practices such as strengthening the cooperation of parties and encouraging youths to participate in social issues for many years, and extended the hope that she could bring the concept green development, such as ecological safety and sustainable development to the work for youth, and improve their participation in international affairs. 

Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance was established in December 2013. It is an international organization set up by ICAPP, The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean, CAPP and IESCO jointly. The aim of it is: to take advantage of political parties to deal with climate change, resolve ecological crisis, protect natural environment, strengthen green ruling and realize sustainable development.

The headquarter of Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance is in New York, the U.S., and it has immediate secretariat, economy committee, woman wing and youth wing.

Relevant links: Gozde Dizdar was born in May 27, 1982 in Izmir, Turkey. She has worked for international organizations such as the United Nations, World Bank, and International Republican Institute.

Her experiences include:

From June 2003 to October 2004, she worked for Boston and New York sections of 9/11 program, organized in cooperation with United Nations (UN).

From March 2004 to 2006, she served as part-time consultant on ‘Government Relations and Youth Policies’ at World Bank Turkey Office.

From 2005 to 2007, she served as Ankara Representative of the International Republican Institute (an non-profit and non-partisan organization established in 1983, committed to promote the freedom and democracy worldwide through development of political parties, non-governmental institutions, open elections, democratic governance and law), and became the its representative of Turkey in 2007, and worked till 2009. During this period, she supervised a number of programs, focused on the  civil society of Turkey, encouraging youths to participate in social affairs and how to strengthen the cooperation of parties. Because of her profound understanding of politics and civil society, she made outstanding contributions to the practices of International Republican Institute in Turkey.

In November, 2009, Gozde Dizdar established an international consulting, researching and communication company -- Governance and Development Global (GD Global). GD Global has cooperation with Political Parties, Associations, Foundations and NGOs on Capacity Building, Youth Policies, Advancing Participatory Democracy, Civil Diplomacy, Lobbying works, Campaign Management, Media Relations and NGO Structuring through giving trainings and by creating, managing and implementing end-to-end projects.

Additionally, with its experienced advisors, GD Global has been working with number of National and International Private Sector Companies and Industrial Conglomerates by giving tailor made services to build effective organizations and sustainable strategies.

    In the above mentioned period of working, Gozde Dizdar always laid great emphasis on voluntary work and volunteered to participate in many programs in Turkey, the Balkans and the Middle East, aiming to construct the bridge between culture and religion. She also attended lots of important conferences, such as the World Peace Summit held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003 and the UN Young Leaders Forum in 2004 as Representative of Turkey.

In May 2013, on the Second General Assembly of ‘The Centrist Asia Pacific Democrats International’ (CAPDI) hold in Makassar, Indonesia she is elected to the Governing Council and by December 2013, she is appointed as the International Vice-President for Strategic Partnerships. At the same time, on February 3, 2014, Co-Chairman of International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization (IESCO) H.E Jose De Venecia appointed Gozde Dizdar as ‘Special Advisor’ to IESCO where she assists IESCO in combating ecological crises and environmental degradations threatening various countries, regions, communities, and even mankind.
