2nd International Conference on Ecological Safety and Human Health was Successfully Convened in Jinan

The 2nd International Conference on Ecological Safety and Human Health (Jinan) was co-organized by Global Parties Climate and Ecological Alliance (GPCEA) and International Ecological Safety Collaborative Organization (IESCO), with the theme of “Ecological Safety, Green Innovation and Sustainable Development”. 3,500 representatives from countries including China, the U.S., Russia, Japan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Cambodia, Nepal, Nigeria, Suriname and Ethiopia attended the conference. GPCEA and IESCO have been committed to ecological safety principle and dedicated to reducing risks brought by climate change, protecting eco-environment, constructing ecological civilization, creating a global pattern of ecological safety and realizing green governance and development. They have played a full role in establishing a platform for international communications and providing strategic consultant services in this area.

At present, climate change, rapid extinction of species, highly fatal contagious diseases are getting under spotlight. Ecological deterioration and environmental pollution are ringing the alarm bell all the time. After studying the current trend, the Chinese government incorporated ecological civilization building into its Five-in-One Strategy of development and outlined the strategies of “Beautiful China”, “Healthy China” and “Belt and Road”, providing a new development model for human survival. In this context, the 2nd International Conference on Ecological Safety and Human Health was held jointly by IESCO and GPCEA in Jinan. During the conference, ground breaking ceremonies for UN Youth Skills Training (Jinan) Base, Shandong Youth Skills Virtual Training Base, and Beidou Applied Science and Technology Industrial Demonstration Park were held with the support from GPCEA, IESCO and Shandong Reep Industrial Group.

Founding Chairman of IESCO and Vice Chairman of GPCEA, Dr. Jiang Mingjun delivered his 10th anniversary report on the work of IESCO. Deputy Director of Environment and Resources Protection Committee of the 11th National People’s Congress of China, General Zhang Wentai; Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Co-Chairman of IESCO, Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed; Director of UN-Habitat Youth Empowerment and Urban Ecological Safety Committee and Chief Scientific Advisor of UN-Habitat, Prof. Oyebanji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka; Member of Presidium and President of the Economic Development Committee of GPCEA, Lu De; High Privy Council of H.M. King of Cambodia and Founding Chairman of World Ecological Safety Assembly, Keo Puth Reasmey; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Surinam to China, Lloyd L. Pinas; Former Deputy Prime Minister and Former Foreign Minister of Nepal, President of the Women Affairs Committee of GPCEA, Sujata Koirala; Director-General of IESCO, Andrey Abramov; Former Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kenya, Representative of UN-Habitat and UN Environment Programme, Special Advisor of IESCO, Guo Chongli; Director of World Ecological Safety Council and Executive Director of the Economic Development Committee of IESCO, Zhangming addressed the conference.

 At the same time, special edition of International Ecology and Safety and UN Initiative and Technology for the Youth were issued. The highlight of the conference was the adoption of the Declaration of International Conference on Ecological Safety and Human Health (Jinan).
